2018 Color Trends and How You Can Utilize Them

A new year brings forward new trends that offer designers inspiration for their future projects as well as homeowners a color, pattern, or style they may not have considered. With a vast sea of paint color choices at anyone's disposal, it's often enticing to see what professionals have picked as those "colors to watch" when thinking about freshening up your home or doing a complete makeover. We're going to show you 20 of Behr's 2018 Color Trends and a few ways on how you can incorporate any of these colors into your home!

Whether you're looking for something neutral, something bold, or something in-between, check out these gorgeous colors and how they can set the mood for an entire room.

Make a dark and daring decision for your dining room with Equilibrium, an elegant shade of green that's sure to make your dark wood and gold accents pop!

For a softer look that still stands out, there's In the Moment, a subtle coastal green that's a great back drop for creams and light woodwork.

Of course if color isn't necessarily your thing you can always go with a lovely neutral like Kombucha that will compliment any woodwork, accent decor, or furniture.

While we're on the topic of neutrals, there's always the option of a more simple and calming gray, Quiet Time, that allows you to choose really any accent color to highlight the unique pieces in your decor arsenal.

Paint doesn't always have to go on your walls either! Try covering your patio chairs in Spirit Warrior, a feisty shade of red that will certainly get you in the mood for warm days ahead!

Wide Sky makes for a beautiful accent wall in any bathroom, laundry room, nook, or kitchen. Shades of blue promote relaxation and will have you sailing away to your happy place on those stressful days.

Browns with purple undertones also make for great accent walls in entryways or bedrooms. Nocturne Shade pairs beautifully with silver metals and contemporary decor.

Paint interior and exterior doors as well to really make your entryways pop! This orange shade, Civara, lends itself to styles such as bohemian or southwestern, and pairs so seamlessly with brick finishes.

Take a chance this year with new paint colors that will leave your home refreshed and welcoming for the new year! Consult with our team of interior designers for color suggestions and more!
