Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice: Amp up Your Autumn Decor

It's that time of year again, the leaves are changing and likely so is your home. Time for pumpkins, pie, and gorgeous fall decor to get you in the holiday spirit. As we've begun changing out our own showroom we've decided to show you some of our favorite fall accents and how to make them unique to your home. Wow your guests with a few out-of-the-box, and of course, classic ideas as well!

1. When in Doubt, Mason Jars

Mason jars are a classic, rustic way to spruce up any table or counter by turning the glass jar into a vase. For fall, paint your jars in whites, reds, oranges, golds, and browns to represent the changing of the seasons and add some fall floral for a nice centerpiece or accent to a mantel.

2. Don't Forget the Doors!

Your front door is the focal point of your home and where guests are welcomed into it, make yours stand out this fall with lovely falling floral that takes the place of a more traditional wreath. They will certainly pop against a boldly painted door (which is also a nice way to freshen up your entryway for a low cost).

3. Raking up the Leaves

Looking for something even more unique to hang up this year? Try converting an old rake into a DIY wreath by cutting off the handle and adding some twine and floral. Spray paint the rake any color you choose to add more character.

4. Give Neutrals a Try

Maybe orange isn't really your color or you prefer a more neutral color palette for your home design. Choose more muted mini pumpkins when selecting at your local pumpkin patch, or painting them a soft shade to help them blend. You don't have to stick to traditional looks while decorating this fall!

5. Adorable Accent Vases

Turn some of those cute little pumpkins into vases that you can use throughout your home to liven up any area! And if you want to help preserve your pumpkins for the entire season, try hot gluing artificial floral to the tops instead of carving for a look that will last!

6. Find Your Fall Phrase

Whether you're crafty or not, wooden signs are a great way to spice up any front door, empty wall space, or even sitting as a table decoration. Paint your own fall phrase and add some artificial floral or purchase a pre-made sign from your favorite decor store. Wooden signs are always a great way to add personality and warmth to your home by adding an "interactive" element.

7. Create a Scene

Autumn decor doesn't have to be restricted to front doors and table tops. Use old wooden creates and lanterns to create a nice focal point on your front porch or in any corner of your home. The crates allow you to create mini scenes in each box or have a flowing theme throughout. They will certainly draw attention and can still remain functional.

Stop into our showroom for more fall decor inspiration and unique pieces you won't find anywhere else!
